Vacation Bible School 2023 will be four days of fun, food and friends!!
VBS 2023 will target children ages 4 to 12.
Theme verse: "I love you, God - you make me strong. God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight. My God - the high crag where I run for dear life, hiding behind the boulders, safe in the granite hideout."
Psalms 18:1-2 (MSG)
Lessons include:
* God is King of All
* Jesus if God's Son (our Prince) and we are children of God.
* Our Prince is preparing a place for us!
* Our Prince is coming back!
There will be songs, activities, snacks, skits and crafts to go along with the Bible lessons!
On Wednesday and Saturday there will be feasts - fit for a king. Feasts will start at 5:30 PM on both days. (There will be a $3 suggested donation per person for each feast)
Missions for VBS will be Christmas Shoeboxes. We would like to collect items for when we pack shoeboxes. Below are a few ideas:

School supplies – chalkboards with chalk, pencils, and sharpeners, crayons, scissors

Toys – sports balls (with pump if needed), dolls, stuffed animals, play cars (large wheels)

Non-liquid hygiene items – bar soap, toothbrush, washcloths. Do not send toothpaste though 🙂

Clothing accessories – tops, shoes, socks, hair bows, gloves, scarves

Small musical instrument – harmonica, recorder

Fishing Kit - Quality fishing line that will hold a 30-pound fish, and several different-sized fish hooks. A large pack of hooks can be shared in a couple of boxes. A sinker so the light line will actually sink below the surface where fish swim, and a bobber/ marker.

A Small Sewing Kit – This can actually become an income for a family

A Small Toolkit – includes nails, hammer, screws, and screwdriver. Just leave out the saws!
